The Cruck Marquee at Clarence House

We are proud to have been supporters of 'A Garden Party To Make A Difference' in September 2010, supplying the event with two Cruck Marquees.

The Prince of Wales joined forces with musicians, comedians, environmental experts and some of Britain's best known companies to create a unique festival in the heart of London.

'A Garden Party To Make A Difference' gave guests a rare opportunity to visit the Prince's own gardens at Clarence House, together with his neighbours' gardens at Lancaster House and Marlborough House.

The event was imaginative part of The Prince of Wales's 'Start' initiative launched in February and aims to demonstrate the small steps that can, and are, being taken by all of us, interested in building a more sustainable future.

Cruck Marquee

The ‘Cruck Marquee' is a traditional timber framed marquee and each one is slightly different due to the natural shape of the arch (traditionally called a ‘Cruck'). Please take a look at our gallery for more pictures.

Available in Oak or Douglas Fir there is not a single piece of metal used anywhere in the construction. The timber is sustainably sourced making it truly environmentally friendly, as well as beautiful. The Cruck Marquee size is within planning permission guidelines, so there is no need to worry about obtaining permission to put it up.
