The Cruck marquee would traditionally be used to form all or part of a wall and roof for constructing a timber framed building.
In order to achieve this shape Oak trees are carefully selected and individually shaped to follow the natural curve of the log.
We use traditional carpentry skills and each marquee will be slightly different.
Based on a 13th century Gothic design; the CRUCK MARQUEE is a modern take on the traditions of English Medieval carpentry.
What is 'The Cruck'?
The Cruck refers to the large curved components which form the beautiful arches at either end of the marquee.
Unlike most timber framing, which is bespoke, we have designed the marquee to be a standard design and therefore easy to deliver within tight time frames.
